Kalamos has a long sandy beach with clear waters ideal for snorkelling. To the south of Kalamos Beach , the road takes you to Plakes, a rather remote beach. The beach of Koubara is 300m long with many taverns along the way. It is also a nudist beach.

Out of all Ios beaches, Mylopotas is the busiest beach on the island and stretches for 1 km. Mylopotas Beach offers cafes, bars and restaurants. Psathi Beach is characterized by peace and tranquillity since it is still untouched by mass tourism. It is popular among windsurfers because of the high waves on windy days. Other beaches worth visiting are Yialos a few minutes walk from the harbor, St. Theodoti, bay Maganari which is divided into five beaches with sand and pebbles. At Ormos and Mylopotas Ios beaches, you will enjoy the water sports offered.

Ios Greece is unique and renowned for its nightlife. There are clubs for all tastes and all kinds of music. At nights, the streets of Ios are full of people having fun, getting wild and dancing. The moon shines above their heads. Their youth is at its peak. Drinks, shots, beers are ordered here and there. The music is so loud that you can hardly be heard. The sounds of different languages are harmoniously mixed together composing a unique musical chord. The night spreads her wings and everybody is fascinated by her tricks. The Ios Nightclubs stay open until the morning hours and everyone exhausted but satisfied go to bed and return when the moon casts its light again.
